Solstice Carol

Now is the midnight of the year,
When darkness lingers long
The winter solstice we’ll salute with fire
and feast and song
With fire and feast and song

The King of Winter mounts his throne,
To rule the conquered land
He sends the frost and bitter wind to chill
the heart and hand,
To chill the heart and hand.

Now all with wallets richly lined,
And food and fuel to share
You must provide for those in need that all
the feast may share
That all the feast may share.
